Terms of Service

Effective August 6, 2026

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of DueDate, a shared calendar application operated by Jonathan Garza (“we,” “us”). By creating an account or using DueDate, you agree to these Terms. DueDate is currently in private beta, and these Terms may change as the service develops.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use DueDate. By using the service, you represent that you meet this requirement.

Your account

You’re responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for anything that happens under it. Sign-in is handled by our authentication provider, Clerk, including Google sign-in if you choose it. Provide accurate information when creating an account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use DueDate to:

  • Violate any applicable law;
  • Send invite emails to people who haven’t agreed to receive them, or otherwise use the invite feature to spam or harass anyone;
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to another user’s calendars, events, or account;
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service, or attempt to reverse engineer or abuse it.

Your content

You retain ownership of the calendars, events, and other content you create in DueDate (“your content”). By using the service, you grant us a license to store, process, transmit, and display your content solely as needed to provide DueDate to you and the people you share it with — for example, sending an invite email or rendering your calendar in your browser.

Third-party services

DueDate relies on Clerk, Google, Brevo, Neon, and Vercel to operate — see our Privacy Policy for details on each. Your use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google’s own terms.

Termination

You may stop using DueDate at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, or if we discontinue the service. Since DueDate is in private beta, the service and its features may change or be discontinued without notice.

Disclaimer of warranties

DueDate is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. We don’t guarantee the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your data will never be lost — please don’t rely on DueDate as your only record of important dates.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of DueDate.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [your state/country here], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as DueDate evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date above.
